15 600 BGN were collected at the charity ball at the Opera House

On June 5, 2015 the 90th anniversary of the Stara Zagora Opera was celebrated with a concert-performance "Moods from Vienna and Venice". During the event, which had a charitable character, 15600 BGN were collected.
The event was organized in partnership between 16 non-profit organizations, Stara Zagora Municipality and Stara Zagora State Opera, and was made possible thanks to the support of many donors and sponsors.
The concert-performance "Moods from Vienna and Venice" included excerpts from popular operettas, polkas and Italian canzonetti, performed by the soloists, choir and orchestra of Stara Zagora State Opera with the special participation of the world-famous tenor Kamen Chanev, the conductor of the performance was Krasimir Kashev, the director was Georgi Dinev.
After the concert, in the foyer of the opera, the ballet performed Polonaise from Tchaikovsky's opera Eugene Onegin, and the guests had the opportunity to dance with the ballet a waltz from Lehar's operetta The Merry Widow.
The event was attended by the artists Maria Klincheva, Radichka Bogdanova, Simeon Simeonov, Snezhana Deskova, Vasil Stanishev, Elena Korabarova, Mikhail Mikhailov, Emil Minev and others, who have all deserved for their years of work and talent, dedicated to the opera.
Exquisite catering and wine provided free of charge by the famous wineries.
Radichka Bogdanova - a famous Stara Zagora opera singer and music teacher, was the first guest of the evening who made her donation in support of the opera.Greetings to the guests were given by one of the major donors and connoisseur of opera art - Mr. Hristofor Bunardzhiev.
The big surprise of the evening was the donation of 4000 BGN to the company "Panhim". Other big donors included the Bulgarian Association of Agricultural Machinery Auctioneers, Vereya Plast, Metalik AD, Holding Zagora Ltd and others.
In a personal capacity, funds were also donated by long-time friends of the opera and lovers of opera art, the Vanya Mihaylova and Rangel Tanchev family, the Tatiana and Veselin Stanchev family and the Minka and Zhoro Dobrevi family.

Donation for the Opera
The funds will be used to purchase tickets for socially disadvantaged people who are unable to attend Opera performances.
Among the guests at the event were the Regional Governor Georgi Ranov, the Deputy Mayor Ivanka Sotirova, the Honorary Consul of Italy to Stara Zagora Marco Busetti and others.
